Take a day trip to Maleny or Montville, both well-known for their unique shopping, restaurants, cafes and art and craft galleries. Or visit the ever-fascinating Australia Zoo.
The Sunshine Coast’s beaches are some of the best in Australia. UnderWater World at Mooloolaba is a world-class attraction, a mere 30 minutes’ drive from your forest hideout.
Right next door is the Chenrezig Institute, a centre for Buddhist study, meditation, retreat and practice. You are most welcome to stroll along the bush paths, wander through the garden of enlightenment and visit the Big Love Café to sip an espresso or enjoy a delicious vegetarian meal. You may like to drop in for a meditation class or simply absorb the peaceful atmosphere for your own quiet contemplation.
Directions to Eudlo Forest Retreat
When travelling by car, Navigation systems and Google maps often show the route through Mooloolah and via Neil Road/Brooks Road.
We do not recommend this route as it is mostly on a narrow dirt road.
We recommend you take the route via Eudlo and Highlands Road:
Make your way to Eudlo either via Chevallum/Palmwoods coming from Bruce Highway North
(Exit 200 – Chevallum/Mons Road),
Or Eudlo-Mooloolah Connection Road coming from Steve Irwin Way South.
When you reach the township of Eudlo, turn onto Highlands Road at the corner of the Public School.
Travel along Highlands Road for 4 km, at the end of the sealed road turn left onto Rambert Road.
Climb the hill and at the top, continue over the crest curve right onto Johnsons Rd. Eudlo Forest Retreat is the first driveway on the left. You will see the signs at the entrance.
Enjoy the lovely country drive
Just one and a half hours from Brisbane
